Review

Another stereotypical name for a boxer from Nintendo. In the NES version they cleaned up his last name to Soda Popinski. I'm guessing the mustache is based slightly on Ivan the Terrible, but Ivan had a beard as well. Whatever the case is, back in the 80's nothing said evil more than USSR, at least in the US. You really couldn't have a video game without them as a nemesis.

Boxing Tips
